As our paralegal, you will be responsible for the collection and organization of documents and information from various cases at the firm. You will be interacting with attorneys, opposing counsels, the Courts, and Clients frequently. The ideal candidate should feel comfortable relaying messages between various groups and keeping all documents important to the cases they are working on organized. We are looking for someone with strong attention to detail, good time management skills, and a can-do attitude for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Review and draft routine legal documents for Attorney review and use
  • Create and maintain case files
  • Facilitate the meeting of attorney's deadlines by keeping organized schedules and providing timely reminders
  • Conduct legal research
  • Manage legal assistant task-load and execution.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years as a paralegal in a Family Law/Matrimonial law environment
  • Proven organizational and time management skills
  • A go-getter, someone who does not wait around for tasks to be assigned
  • A genuine interest and passion for helping individuals and their families
  • Bachelor's degree in a liberal arts or legal-related field
  • Paralegal certificate/5 years of experience as a paralegal can substitute the Bachelor's Degree requirement
