The Opportunity:

The Enterprise Accounting Coordinator provides vital accounting support to Steam’s largest customers (enterprise accounts) that utilize Steam’s multi-modal services. Due to their size, these accounts have specific and complex invoicing and billing matters, which require specialized attention. To be successful in this role, you must have a tenacity for detail and problem solving. You will have to partner with various departments at Steam to rectify invoicing and payment issues from these large customers. Responsibilities-

  • Responsible for processing all invoicing matters for specific enterprise accounts as assigned by the Enterprise Solutions Accounting Manager, to include cash applications and collections.
  • Collaborate with Drayage and Domestic sales brokers on invoicing issues as they arise.
  • Provide support to Drayage and Domestic sales brokers with ad hoc requests regarding invoicing, billing modifications, and questions with Statement of Account (SOA).
  • In terms of process improvement, collaborate with the sales brokers to determine more efficient ways in which to process invoices for specific enterprise accounts.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience-

  • Accounting and/or collections experience in the logistics industry is preferred but not required
  • Must be self-motivated, disciplined, highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
