We are a large north Texas orthopedic practice looking to hire an X-ray Tech to join our team. We have locations in Arlington, Mansfield, Irving, Dallas, Midlothian, Waxahachie and Ft. Worth. This is a full-time position Mon- Fri There will be some rotating in Arlington and possible other locations while keeping in consideration one's geographical home address if at all possible. Hours vary depending on clinic start and end times but normally anywhere from 7:30ish - 5:30ish with half day Friday. NO NIGHTS, NO WEEKENDS, NO HOLIDAYS, NO FLOURO, NO OR, NO COVID MANDATES We run a flexible crew taking care to keep a work/life balance for all. JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Prepares patients for radiologic procedures. Takes x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
  • Obtains quality diagnostic radiographic as requested by physicians. (As quickly as exam/patient condition will allow. Keeping a repeat rate of 2% or less.)
  • Uses radiation protection and shielding materials when required.
  • Reviews and QAs radiologic images.
  • Ensures that all equipment is in compliance with state regulations, is maintained in good working order and clean.
  • Liaison between patients, physicians, and medical support staff. Must demonstrate a caring and professional manner in order to make patients feel comfortable.
  • Inventories and stocks radiologic supplies.
  • Attends required staff meetings.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality.
  • Maintains current continuing medical education as required.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor/manager.

Requirements:

EDUCATIONAL AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • Must be a RT. (No NCTs or LMRTS)

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Student technologist would be beneficial but not necessary.
  • Orthopedic experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Pleasant speaking voice and demeanor.
  • Neat, professional appearance.
