Napleton Chevrolet has immediate openings for Automotive General Motors Journeyman Technician/Mechanics. Full-time positions are immediately available. This is a skilled position requiring a minimum of 3 years of previous General Motors experience. You should be experienced, aware of the latest automotive technologies, and a persistent problem solver.

Service Technician Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive Pay $40.00 - $46.00 per book hr
  • Up to $6,000 signing bonus for qualified applicants
  • General Motors experience / Training required

Service Technician Responsibilities:

  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with the dealership
  • Test drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed
  • Provide estimates for additional repairs
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
  • Complete all required training

Service Technician Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a General Motors auto technician
  • Knowledge of all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
  • Fast, eager learner and team player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Computer skills and willingness to learn new problems
  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Clean driving record & valid driver’s license
