Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

- Performs preventive/corrective maintenance and investigates problems with polymer production equipment including gear boxes, gear pumps, rotary air locks, polymer cutters, bagging machines, conveyor systems, heat exchangers, etc., following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety, environmental, and housekeeping rules and procedures to maintain safe and clean working environments.
- Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, rigging, and hand/power tools
- Conserves maintenance resources by utilizing planning and scheduling maintenance model, equipment, and supplies as needed to accomplish job results in demanding team oriented environment.
- Prepares mechanical maintenance reports in SAP by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends to assure the highest equipment reliability possible for all assigned areas.
- Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and identifying proactive needs.
- This career opportunity will be based out of our Richmond, IN facility.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma / GED
- Must have one of the below:
- Minimum of 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience (i.e Mechanical equipment installation, disassembly, and assembly, millwright, pipe fitting, tooling, rigging, hydraulic, pneumatic, pumping systems, welding, etc.)
- Associates Degree or Certification in Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Program
- Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting polymer process mechanical equipment
- Possess good troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Possess good interpersonal skills in communication, listening, and good safety practices.
- Possess good computer skills & knowledge
- Willing to work nights on a 2/2/3 continental shift schedule.
