Position: Project Engineer

Job Overview:

For this position, our client in Florida is seeking a skilled and motivated Engineer to join the team on a full-time basis. This individual will play a crucial role in the successful completion of projects allocated to the Structural Division of the firm by providing technical expertise, managing project timelines and budgets, and ensuring the overall quality of our work from a structural design perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to develop project plans and schedules

- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance and work verifications regarding project specifications and local safety regulation

- Prepare and review project drawings, designs, and specifications

- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services

- Monitor project progress and identify potential issues or delays, proposing solutions to keep the project on track

- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and cost estimates

- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets company standards and client expectations

- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on project status and address any concerns or issues

- Participate in project meetings and provide technical expertise and support as needed

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (structural) or related field

- 0-5 years of experience in civil engineering with a educational or professional focus in the structural vertical

-EI or PE credentials through the State of Florida (preferred)

- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
