FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
General Purpose
The purpose of the Facility Specialist is to keep the facilities of all locations in an orderly condition and tend to any maintenance, supplies or grounds issues.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver equipment, furniture and supplies to various campus locations as needed.
- Install equipment, furniture and supplies.
- Maintain inventory of materials and equipment.
- Process requests for supplies and furniture.
- Driver responsibilities.
- Maintain access to all campus locations.
- Programs and maintains facility security systems including locks, doors, keypads, HVAC thermostats, emergency exit, signs, etc.
- Maintain all campuses fire extinguishers supply with vendors every year
- Request and provide building fire report from the building management every year
- Contact to the building management with all necessary emergency tasks, duties and their responsibilities
- Manage, hire and monitor all campus cleaning crew and keep checking their responsibilities
- Install office employee signs, posters, company front desk logos, information notes and stickers
- Maintains building, performing minor and routine painting and plumbing, manage buildings' electrical switches and fuses, and other related maintenance activities
- Contact and hire electrical, low voltage, HVAC and electrical generator services when necessary
- Install and secure classroom power management systems such as power distribution strip, electrical, low voltage, video cables and computer power supply
- Clean and disinfect monitors, keyboards, headsets, mice, tables and chairs
- Manage and order floor waxing and chairs cleaning
- Keep and maintain CSI Emergency Response Plan and first aid supply
- Keep and report facility check list bi-weekly
- Maintenance of the restrooms and kitchen. (Cleanliness and supplies)
- Maintain vending machine services
- Operates snow removal equipment to maintain parking lots and sidewalks as needed.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Supervisory: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with one to three years related handy/field experience and/or training.
