Position Overview:

The Commercial Division Project Manager at Thomas Fence Co. is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of commercial fencing projects from inception to completion. This role requires a high level of organization, leadership, and communication skills to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Coordination:
    • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management.
    • Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
    • Obtain necessary permits and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  2. Project Execution:
    • Oversee daily operations and activities on the project site.
    • Ensure that all work is completed according to project specifications, standards, and safety regulations.
    • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure timely completion.
  3. Financial Management:
    • Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking, and reporting.
    • Approve expenditures and manage invoicing processes.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  4. Client Relations:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Conduct regular meetings and provide updates on project status.
    • Address client concerns and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  5. Team Leadership:
    • Lead and manage project teams, including hiring, training, and evaluating team members.
    • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
    • Provide guidance and support to team members to achieve project goals.
  6. Quality Control and Safety:
    • Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure high standards of workmanship.
    • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on all project sites.
    • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  7. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
    • Prepare and present regular project reports to senior management and stakeholders.
    • Ensure all project records are organized and easily accessible.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management within the construction or fencing industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
