Base pay: 90-95k with bonuses putting the Admin above $130k.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hospice Administrator to lead our hospice agency. The ideal candidate will

be responsible for overseeing the delivery of personalized and compassionate clinical care to clients -patients and their

family members in the comfort of their homes. The Hospice Administrator will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest

standards of clinical service, patient satisfaction, and compliance with industry regulations.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leadership and Management:

- Provide strong leadership to a team of caregivers, nurses, and administrative staff.

- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes exceptional client care.

- Develop, manage and establish appropriate process measures to ensure success of the branch and successful

outcomes


• Client Relations:

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and their families.

- Conduct initial assessments to determine individualized care plans and update them as needed.

• Quality Care

- Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to guarantee the delivery of high-quality, personalized care.

- Regularly assess and update care plans based on the changing needs of clients.

• Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations related to private duty hospice

services.

- Stay informed about changes in regulations and implement necessary adjustments.

• Staff Training and Development:

- Oversee the recruitment, training, and ongoing professional development of caregivers and nursing staff.

- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

• Scheduling and Coordination:

- Efficiently manage caregiver schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all clients.

- Coordinate with healthcare professionals, therapists, and other service providers to enhance client care.

• Emergency Preparedness:

- Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans to ensure the agency’s ability to respond effectively to

unforeseen events.

- Client Advocacy: Serve as an advocate for clients and their families, addressing concerns and ensuring their

needs are met promptly.




Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid driver’s license.

• Current auto insurance.

• Must have ability to read, write and speak fluent English and relate well to all levels of contacts.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with patients, providers, family members and other team

members.

• Must possess or quickly develop a strong working knowledge of the Metropolitan Service Area (MSA) -market with a

well-established network of contacts within the medical community.

• Demonstrates a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and competitive approach to all activities.

• Must be able to successfully complete a post-offer drug screen and physical examination as required.

• He/She must be able to demonstrate a successful record of achieving or exceeding assigned goals.

• Persons in this role must demonstrate the ability to always act professionally and with integrity in the

representation of Blue Summit Companies. He/She must be able to succeed individually, but also be highly

collaborative in the process of attaining the goals of the organization and/or each individual location.

• Additional skills required for this position include creative and strategic thinking skills with the ability to propose

new ideas and influence team members to explore new approaches. A genuine desire to serve older adults with a

passion for health services is essential for success.

• Demonstrates a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and competitive approach to all activities.

• Possesses excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

• Strong Computer Skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to quickly

learn and utilize other Management software.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Registered Nurse administrator experience preferred.

• Proven experience in a leadership role within a hospice care.

• Initiates the referral intake process and coordinates admissions with appropriate team members and facility staff

when applicable (gathers appropriate referral documentation not limited to; Orders, Discharge Summaries, Face to

Face documentation, Verification of the Physician following the patients care).

• Acts as a liaison with staff regarding patients, communicating admission, discharge, and any other applicable

information to the appropriate team.

• Involves the patient / client and family members in planning the transition from other care providers and methods

to the delivery of health care services in the home.

• Brings appropriate issues and problems to the attention of Senior Management.

• Explains agency policies to patient / client and responsible family members, including Patient’s Rights and

Responsibilities, with special emphasis on reducing anxiety and assisting those affected with lifestyle adjustments

and performs other job-related duties as assigned by management.

EXPECTED OUTCOMES:

• Attainment of stated monthly, quarterly and/or annual goals for quality of care / admissions / census growth and

clinical and Client outcome / benchmarks.

• Demonstrate professional collaboration between self, other team members and referral sources in the admission

and transfer process.

• High reported levels of satisfaction from customers and family members regarding the transition of services from an

acute setting to Home Health.

• High reported levels of satisfaction from all referral sources regarding responsiveness, ability to meet their

discharge/placement goals, and professionalism.
