Duties and Key Responsibilities
  • Processes and follows up on all Home Health and Hospice claims until proper reimbursement is received.
  • Completes prebilling claim checks and OASIS verification.
  • Assists with the posting and reconciliation of Home Health and Hospice payments and contractual, as well as the preparation of month-end reports.
  • Processes all mail, refunds, and explanations of benefits related to Home Health and Hospice accounts.
  • Stay current in the field of practice by reading publications and attending outside educational offerings.
  • Works under the supervision of the Patient Accounts Manager.
Requirements
  • Typing, basic math calculations, computer oriented, and good verbal skills.
  • Able to work without direct supervision, work well in a group setting.
  • Ability to work independently with excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to recall details and Health Insurances procedures/ processes.
Education/Certifications
  • High School graduate
Experience
  • Previous experience is preferred, but not required.
