We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Cardiometabolic Health Coach and Functional Nutrition expert to join our team part-time. This role is for someone passionate about reversing chronic conditions, who isn't afraid to defy conventional standards of care, and is dedicated to providing honest, effective health guidance. If you are an expert in coaching people with chronic conditions, such as Type 2 diabetes, cardiometabolic health, insulin resistance, and metabolic flexibility, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality education and coaching to help individuals improve their health and reverse chronic conditions.
- Contribute to the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of our Cardiometabolic Health & Condition Reversal program in your areas of expertise.
- Educate members on managing and reversing cardiometabolic health conditions, including Type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, metabolic syndrome, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and obesity.
- Coach participants via phone, video conferencing, SMS, and chat on implementing healthy lifestyle choices around diet, exercise, sleep, stress, and device utilization to achieve health goals.
- Use CGM and other device data and lab results to help members identify patterns and make better lifestyle choices.
- Review all member data on a weekly basis and provide recommendations to Human Performance Coaches to support their members.
- Lead group education sessions and workshops through videoconferencing, maintaining a professional and engaging presence on camera.
- Conduct small group coaching sessions.
- Apply Aduro’s coaching methodology to help members clarify goals, establish plans, and take actionable steps.
- Support Human Performance Coaches through case reviews, in the moment guidance, and subject matter expertise.
- Partner with data analysts and team leaders to analyze device data and laboratory results to show outcomes and enhance program design.
- Use your diabetes education expertise to guide members safely toward better condition management, remission, and reversal.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Human Performance Coaching and Content & Media Labs, creating and reviewing content for program execution as requested.
- Ensure program protocols and content are inclusive, considering diverse groups, food accessibility, and healthcare access.
Qualifications:
- Valid licensure/certification for a relevant healthcare provider role.
- Current accreditation as Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) or equivalent Functional Nutrition certification.
- 5+ years’ experience as a healthcare provider or educator.
- 2+ years’ experience and success working with people to improve/reverse chronic conditions.
- 1+ year experience working with Continuous Glucose Monitors.
- NBC-HWC preferred; full training program and certification available.
- Excellent writing skills for individuals with low health literacy.
- Proven ability to collaborate with peers, managers, and cross-functional teams to advance coaching and care initiatives.
- Comfort with technology-driven engagement strategies.
- Nice to have: experience analyzing programmatic data to identify trends and inform program design.
Schedule: This is a part-time role with flexible hours, determined based on the needs of the team and clients.
Compensation. The target salary range for this position is $30-40/hr on a part-time basis up to 20 hours per week, with potential for full time as the need arises and for the right person. Individual pay is determined by several factors including experience, location, and other business factors, and may vary from the target range based on these factors.
