PANEL TECHNICIAN

Synopsis:

The Panel Technician is an entry level position within the assembly shop of the ESCO Group. This position is best described as a hands-on assembler of industrial control panels and electrical assemblies. Work executed will be on an assembly team. This position requires the drive to learn the knowledge of electricity, blue print reading, and electrical measurement. The technician must operate power tools, hand tools and multi- meters safely to do work. The job requires a high level of efficiency while maintaining attention to detail.


Background and Work Experience:

To be considered, candidates should have:

  • Completion of high school diploma; or
    • Other equivalent education and experience combinations will be considered with solid evidence of success.
  • Demonstrated to be proficient with computer technologies including but not limited to, Windows Operating Systems, and the use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred:

  • Completion of an Associate’s degree program in a related discipline from an accredited college, technical school, or university
  • Mechanical or electrical assembly
  • Electrical trade
  • Knowledge of UL, NEC or other electrical
  • Experience in the food, grain processing, seed, or other industrial process


Responsibilities and Duties:

The Panel Technician will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Assemble electrical control panels using hand tools and machines as assigned while under the direction of others.
  • Adhere to construction
  • Adhere to NEC, UL, or CE
  • Read and understand detailed schematics, blueprints, parts lists,
  • Monitor supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed
  • Monitor personal quality measures are being
  • Complete work in a neat and workmanship like
  • Report design issues and recommend corrective action to direct
  • Annotate drawings with redlines and comments for correction by
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment on a daily
  • Assemble shipping crates and skids for finished
  • Verify circuit integrity using volt meters or similar
  • Utilize, support, and enhance ESCO’s standards and best
  • Understand and follow all safety, conduct, and policy requirements established by ESCO and
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned or deemed necessary by
