The Role:

The Commercial Roofing Estimator must be a detail-oriented self-starter who understands the estimating process. As an Estimator, you will work closely with our Project Team to design appropriate roofing scopes of work for each project based on roofing knowledge, experience, specific field conditions and client expectations. We require excellent verbal and written communication skills and of course, knowledge of commercial roofing estimating.

PB Roofing provides concierge-style commercial roofing services to private & public sector organizations with multiple buildings located throughout the Northeast & Mid-Atlantic regions of the U.S.

Our existing and prospective customers cover an expansive portfolio of industries including corporate, property & facilities management, marquee level retail, supermarkets, industrial, and healthcare who value collaborative partnerships with a professional focus and approach.

What You'll Do:

Prepare and submit bid documents for service & projects to customers

Prepare accurate estimates including costs of materials, labor, and equipment

Evaluate and understand plans, work scope, and specification of potential jobs

Understand commercial roof system designs to include ModBit, TPO, PVC, EPDM, Metal and coatings, etc.

Establish and maintain relationships with clients

Review all contracts and accepted quotations

Regularly communicate with management regarding all assigned projects

Review the progress on awarded projects to help Project Managers stay on budget and/or identify variances that need to be incorporated into future estimates

Attend pre-bid/tender meetings

Follow up on bids and update management regarding status

What We're Looking For:

5 7 years' experience as a commercial roofing estimator

Experience with roofing systems EPDM / TPO / Modified-Bitumen / PVC / Metal Roofs

Sufficient mathematical abilities and analytical skills required to perform complex commercial construction project estimating

Position requires keen attention to detail and the ability to recognize discrepancies, patterns and formulas

Good understanding of data analysis methods and KPIs

Quality Communication Skills (Phone / Email / Text)

Proficient Computer Skills ('Basic' Microsoft Office / Various Apps)

Knowledge of Roof CAD, Bluebeam and The Edge (Not required but a plus)

Valid Driver's License in Good Standing

Understanding of specification-driven bidding processes

Ability to read roofing plans and interpret maps

The ability to climb stairs, ladders, sit at a desk or walk for extended periods of time and be able to lift 50 pounds or more
