Description:

Metric5 is currently seeking a Microsoft Power Platform Architect to support a project within the Department of the Treasury. The Power Platform Architect will lead a team of developers and testers and be the technical subject matter expert for the existing Power Platform. You will provide guidance and best practices for governance, security, administration, configuration, and expansion of the platform. You will help modernize existing legacy applications by providing guidance to the government and architecting solutions. You will lead your team in defining or refining objectives and milestones, and monitor progress towards successful product delivery. You will interface with the client, provide status updates on activities to include schedule, risk, and issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and develop solutions using the Power Platform
  • Define guidelines and best practices for creating and managing environments for development, testing, and production.
  • Implement monitoring and performance optimization strategies for the Power Platform environment.
  • Define guidelines for solution development including deployment and maintenance.
  • Support the implementation of a CoE (Center of Excellence), Azure DevOps, and ALM to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the development process.
  • Provide support and guidance to users, promoting continuous learning, and educate users on best practices.
  • Develop a detailed implementation plan that outlines steps, timelines, and requirements to execute expansion to external customers.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant data protection regulations, industry standards, and security policies including a mechanism to manage usage and data retention.
  • Establish processes for change management, including version control and release management.
  • Leverage the existing M365 Power Platform.
  • Ensure compliance with security regulations, to include FedRAMP High, Common Controls and platform ATO.
  • Manage security groups, assign users, and control access.
  • Monitor and manage capacity and licensing.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in Power Platform administration, including security, compliance, and governance.
  • Experience developing solutions with Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate, Dataverse, and custom connectors.
  • Experience with advance Power Platform customizations, to include Component Framework
  • General understanding of Power BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, SharePoint, and Dynamics 365.
  • Experience with data transformation, integration, and migration.
  • Knowledge of integrating Power Platform with other systems.
  • Understanding of security models and licensing options.
  • Experience with Application Insights and generating custom telemetry.
  • Awareness of deployment and scalability considerations to include experience onboarding projects into a DevSecOps toolset (Azure DevOps).
  • Capable of handling complex challenges and efficiently managing tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders and articulate technical concepts clearly.
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts into understandable language for various stakeholders.
