Job Summary:  
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our hospice business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare administration, business management, and operations, with a focus on maintaining efficiency, quality, and compliance within the organization. The Business Operations Manager will play a key role in ensuring the smooth functioning of all administrative, financial, and operational aspects of the hospice facility. 

Responsibilities: 
  • Operational Management:
    • Assist in the development and implementation of efficient operational processes and procedures to optimize workflow and maximize productivity.
    • Support the oversight of day-to-day operations of the hospice facility, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
    • Monitor and evaluate operational performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Financial Management:
    • Support the management of the budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting processes for the hospice business.
    • Work with Bloom Director of Finance to ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and procedures, including billing, coding, and reimbursement practices.
    • Review financial reports and analyze key performance indicators to track financial performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
  • Staff Management:
    • Support recruitment processes, training, and supervise administrative and support staff, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet operational needs.
    • Provide guidance, and support to staff members, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional development.
    • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address any performance issues in a timely and constructive manner.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Quality Insurance:
    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing hospice operations, including licensure, accreditation, and certification requirements.
    • Stay informed about changes in healthcare regulations and industry standards, and update policies and procedures accordingly.
    • Collaborate with regulatory and quality teams and participate in audits and inspections to maintain compliance and quality standards.
    • Implement quality assurance programs and initiatives to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
    • Participate in quality improvement activities, such as root cause analysis, peer review, and outcome measurement, to enhance the quality and safety of care. 
Qualifications: 
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare administration or operations management, with specific experience in hospice care highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, reimbursement policies, and quality standards related to hospice operations.
  • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve operational efficiency and financial performance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders to achieve common goals and objectives.

The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience. The pay range for this role in the state of Colorado typically falls between $70,000 and $95,000 annually with the potential for performance-based bonuses and other benefits. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, and location within the state.
