All that you need is:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or a related field
  • 5+ years of financial management experience
  • Knowledge about Microsoft Dynamics GP accounting system and other accounting programs
  • Proficiency in the use of all Microsoft Office programs
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the capacity to compose professionally written correspondence
  • Ability to think on an analytical level and to interpret financial reporting
  • Mathematical skills
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills and capacity to motivate and inspire staff at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to direct services in a manner that reflects an appreciation for the cultural background, heritage, and identity of clients
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, courtesy, and tact in dealing with the public, giving and obtaining information, and adequately disposing of problems as they may arise
  • Organizational and time management skills

A master's degree is preferred but not required.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT AS OUR DIRECTOR OF FINANCE?

As the Director of Finance, you will oversee our organization's day-to-day financial operations. From providing guidance and supervision to our finance team to ensuring compliance with all financial standards, your leadership will be essential to our success. You will lead the development of annual operating and capital expenditure budgets, working towards obtaining board approval.

Analysis of our financial status and monthly cash flow projections will be key responsibilities, along with maintaining revenue contracts and leases. Your vision and innovative mindset will drive improvements in departmental functions, efficiency, and the adoption of cutting-edge technologies in nonprofit accounting.
