We are open Monday – Friday.. No holidays or weekends

Must provide excellent customer service, and demonstrate the ability to communicate with center staff, physicians and patients in a professional, courteous, and helpful manner.


Responsibilities front desk:

  • Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone
  • Collects patient identification cards, and insurance information
  • Ensures that documentation is completed, accurate and all necessary documents are signed by the patient
  • Updates patient accounts by recording personal and financial information in the revenue management system
  • Collects copayments and deductibles as needed
  • Records payments in the billing system or log as required
  • Issues receipts for payments received
  • Balances upfront collections at the end the shift
  • Notifies clinical when patient is ready to proceed to the clinical area
  • Accepts deliveries to the ASC, as needed
  • Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information
  • Prepares patients charts for the following day
  • Orders physicians lunches
  • Keeping track and uploading OP reports for coding
  • Prints and options signatures on OP reports and files them in medical records
  • Maintains specimen log, options signatures on reports and files in medical records
  • Medical logging each day
  • Ordering medical gases and maintaining logs
  • Maintains strict adherence to the center’s policies and procedures; reports needed changes and discrepancies
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Attends all required training
  • Regular and predictable attendance required

Responsibilities for medical records:

  • Maintains medical records and files necessary documents in correct files.
  • Checks for completion of chart for missing information/reports
  • Files and maintains medical records storage
  • Performs collection, processing, filing, maintenance, storage, retrieval, and distribution of medical records according to facility policy and procedures
  • Arranges all chart forms, correspondence reports, etc, in appropriate order
  • Marks and obtains all necessary signatures to complete the chart
  • Adheres to stablished procedures for cross –referencing and indexing medical records
  • Monitors check out and return system of medical records
  • Arranges for appropriate disposal of medical records per facility policies and procedures, if applicable
  • Adheres to medical-legal requirements when answering correspondence and inquiries
  • Medical Record audit 100% of charts
  • Inventory of paper / packet supplies for ordering
  • Locks and secures medical records at end of day
  • Performs statistical and month end report for Center Director


Required Qualifications:
• 1 or more years' of prior medical admitting/front desk

  • BLS for healthcare provider

    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with SIS (surgisource) software
    Educational Requirements: High School Diploma, G.E.D.
