Wait Staff - Server

Come join us at Carmel Terrace as a Wait Staff/ Server A Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short and Long-term care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters. We are a place of life, a place of caring, and more importantly, a true home for our residents. Located on lush, manicured lawns and gardens in Framingham, MA, we are just minutes from Route 9 for easy access to the Mass Pike.

We're seeking to fill the role of Wait Staff/ Server.

** No experience necessary. Will train **

** Part-Time Shifts - 4p to 7p including weekends and holidays **

Wait Staff/ Server Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or the equivalent.
  • Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be dependable and reliable, flexible in work duties and willing to go above and beyond expectations.
  • Prior experience in food services and preparation in Long Term Care, preferred.

Wait Staff/ Server Job Summary:

  • Communicate in a positive, caring, and helpful manner with residents, family members, and other staff.
  • Work effectively within a team, receiving and offering direction and feedback as needed.
  • Learn how to check for dietary changes, dismissals and transfers prior to tray-line service.
  • Learn to assure accuracy of the resident’s meal tray specifications.
  • Understand and communicate knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling.
  • Ensure that infection control practices are always maintained and followed.
  • Work other jobs within the Dietary Department as necessary.
