Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSchleich is seeking a dynamic Amazon Advertising Manager to lead our advertising strategy across European and North American Amazon marketplaces. This role is crucial in driving our brand’s growth through effective Amazon advertising strategies, working closely with external agencies and internal teams. This role will involve managing an external Amazon advertising agency, providing strategic direction to achieve sales and profitability targets.  You will work cross functionally with sales, marketing, Brand, and analytics teams to ensure our advertising investments are driving the highest return, with a focus on lifetime value. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Amazon advertising, deep knowledge of PPC and DSP platforms, and strong analytical skills. Key performance indicators (KPIs) for this role include TACOS, ROAS, traffic, consumer sales and contribution margin.

Key Responsibilities:
Amazon Advertising Strategy:
  • Develop and implement advertising strategies that align with the goals and objectives of our European and North American markets
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure advertising campaigns align with sales planning and promotional activities
  • Provide strategic direction to external Amazon advertising agencies to optimize campaigns for maximum ROI, focusing on TACOS, ROAS, traffic, and consumer sales
Agency Management:
  • Manage the relationship with external Amazon advertising agencies, ensuring they deliver high-quality work that meets our strategic objectives
  • Regularly audit agency performance, providing feedback and direction to enhance campaign effectiveness
  • Be the internal liaison for the agency facilitating all content, data, and budget needs.  You will also be the owner of the Product Masterfile which drives most of the advertising tools and process. 
Performance Analysis and Reporting:
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of Amazon advertising campaigns using various metrics and tools
  • Provide insights and recommendations for campaign improvements based on data analysis
  • Deliver regular performance updates to key stakeholders, including insights on traffic, sales, and other critical KPIs.  Stakeholders will include members of the Global Amazon team from Sales, Marketing and Analytics as well as Brand Management, Country Managers, and extended company leadership. 
Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, sales, and product management, to ensure cohesive strategies and execution
  • Partner with the content teams to optimize product listings and ensure consistency across all digital touchpoints
  • Align with demand and supply teams to ensure inventory positions for key items within advertising campaigns
Market Research and Innovation:
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in Amazon advertising, ensuring our strategies are cutting-edge and effective
  • Identify new opportunities for growth and optimization within the Amazon ecosystem
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years in a business analytics, advertising, or marketing position focused on using data to drive decision making
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, derive insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in managing external agencies, providing strategic direction, and driving performance improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Familiarity with Amazon, digital marketing tools and platforms, including web analytics and reporting tools.
  • Preferred experience in managing and optimizing Amazon advertising campaigns with a focus on KPIs such as TACOS, ROAS, traffic, and consumer sales.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
