Job DescriptionJob DescriptionClientmind Recruiting is searching for a Tax Manager for an accounting firm based in the Frederick, MD area. This is a full-time position and will be required to work onsite in Frederick, MD 2-3x per week.

Ensure that all annual tax clients have accurate and timely tax returns prepared. Communicate with clients at least annually to make sure their tax savings are maximized, they are fully aware of any tax liabilities due and tax planning is provided. Identify and provide Advisory services as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee tax preparation for annual clients
  • Manage specific assigned clients consulting/advisory relationships.
  • Consult with clients regarding tax planning and strategy.
  • Identify needed Advisory services for clients.
  • Provide Advisory services for select clients.
  • Provide feedback and assistance to the Accounting Services Director in training, hiring, firing, and review process for Staff, Senior and Seasonal Tax Accountants.
  • Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations

Requirements:
  • 10+ years of accounting experience (must have public accounting experience)
  • Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, or related
Desired:
  • Masters in Accounting, Finance, or related
  • CPA Certification
