The Role:

The Sr. Accountant is responsible for supporting the activities of the Global General Accounting function, assisting with financial reporting and annual independent audits.

Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant responsibilities include account reconciliations, analysis, financial statement preparation, cash flow analysis and responding to audit requests. The successful candidate will assist with maintaining documentation and compliance with company standards as well as monitoring and ensuring adherence to established policies & procedures. Other duties to include fixed asset management and other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Completion of assigned balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Analyze current MTD and YTD financial statements for reasonableness
  • Monthly financial statement preparation: B/S, P&L and Free Cashflow Statement and distribution
  • Monthly preparation and distribution, to senior management, of PP&E and Free Cashflow statements
  • Timely and thoroughly respond to external audit requests
  • Prepare journal entries, as appropriate, for entry
  • Participate in maintaining documentation and compliance requirements per established company standards
  • Monitor, for adherence, to company controls and report on any noted deficiencies
  • Realize compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls by working with business partners.
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding and application of GAAP.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and within a team environment
  • Detail oriented with ability to multi-task and maintain a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Experience with international subsidiaries - preferred
  • Experience working with an extensive ERP system - required; SAP preferred.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel- required.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Independent worker who can research issues and propose resolutions.
