Summary

Do you have experience as a Lead Teacher in Montessori or with multiple ages? Are you a trained Montessori teacher?

Renaissance Montessori Academy (RMA) is seeking a teacher to work as a Primary Classroom lead.

RMA is a long-standing non-profit Montessori School educating children 2.5 through Elementary. We strive to have traditional Montessori classrooms. Children also rotate through studio each week for music, art, language and more.

Duties

This position is for a full-time, about 11 months in the year, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, M-F, plus in-service weeks, and prep time.

With the support of the assisting teacher, the teacher will set up their classroom, including creating materials, lists of items to be purchased, physical set up of the room, electronic set up of systems and assessments, and any other duties required to prepare the classroom. The teacher will guide, assess, collect data, manage the classroom, and support the children and families daily along with the Studio and After School leads. The teacher will support the whole school and participate in school activities. The teacher will act as an ambassador for our community. The teacher will perform all duties necessary to establish and run a successful Montessori classroom and perform any other duties as necessary.

Requirements

The right candidate will:

  • Hold a Primary Montessori Credential (2.5 through 6) through an AMI or MACTE accredited training program
  • Have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree
  • Have experience in teaching mixed-age groups of children
  • Be willing to work in a private nonprofit school
  • Be willing to support a growing school with all of the growing pains that come
  • Take continuing education that supports the diverse learning objectives of RMA and its students
  • Attend and participate in all school events, trainings, and meetings
  • Uphold the RMA Core Values: Joy, Snug, Harmonious, Purposeful, Engaged
  • Be able to work in the United States
  • Have a clean background check
