SUMMARY: The Director of Revenue Cycle Management will oversee the entire revenue cycle process for the organization, ensuring efficient and accurate billing, coding, insurance claims, and compliance with medical clinic standards. This role requires a deep understanding of insurance processes, medical coding, compliance regulations, and credentialing procedures. The Director will lead a team to optimize revenue generation and streamline operations, ensuring financial stability and regulatory compliance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the revenue cycle department, including billing, coding, insurance claims, and collections.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy in the revenue cycle process.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, including medical clinic standards and coding guidelines.
  • Manage and mentor a team of revenue cycle professionals, providing training and development opportunities.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the effectiveness of the revenue cycle process and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of revenue cycle operations with overall organizational goals.
  • Lead initiatives to optimize the use of technology and software in revenue cycle management.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices.
  • Oversee the credentialing process for healthcare providers, ensuring timely and accurate credentialing with insurance companies and regulatory bodies.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on revenue cycle performance, challenges, and opportunities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in revenue cycle management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of insurance processes, medical coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS), and compliance regulations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in revenue cycle management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or similar certification is preferred.
