Instructor - STEM - Details
  • Work 2-4 afternoons per week
  • Robotics & Science classes - Tuesdays and Thursdays
  • Creative & Recreational classes available, too
  • All supplies and lesson plans provided; supervisor onsite

  • Hourly $15.00 - $17.00 pay rate
  • Part Time 2:30 - 5/6 PM; 2024-25 program duration (August - June)

Instructor : STEM : Responsibilities
  • Implement the iKids lesson plans
  • Lead and supervise elementary-age children during after-school activities
  • Build positive relationships with children and families
  • Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
  • Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for children
  • May lift 5-30 lbs; anticipate physical demands of a standard classroom and playground setting.
Instructor : STEM : Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, required (18 years of age minimum)
  • CPR and First Aid certification, iKids will provide as needed
  • Clear background/ fingerprinting : Eligible status required
  • Available a minimum of (2) days a week
  • Exposure to STEM activities like chess, "Lego"-based robotics, coding, experiments, and strategy games
  • Experience working with children preferably in a classroom, after-school, workshop, or camp setting
  • Training provided in age-appropriate activities; behavior management techniques, and more
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Independent, reliable transportation / support multiple campuses weekly
