An Electrical Monitoring Expert plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of electrical systems. Key responsibilities and qualifications for this role:

Responsibilities:

  1. Monitoring and Evaluation:
    • Monitor: Regularly track power usage and quality in electrical systems.
    • Data Analysis: Analyze data related to electrical performance, efficiency, and safety.
    • Outcome Evaluation: Evaluate outcomes to ensure that the desired goals are being achieved.
    • Recommendations: Provide actionable insights based on data analysis to improve system performance.
    • Maintain: Regularly inspect and, maintain meters and equipment.  Update firmware, and software.
  2. Installation and Commissioning:
    • Devices: Install, program, calibrate, and commission various electrical and instrumentation devices.
    • Examples include:
      • Electrical meters
      • Power monitoring equipment
      • Programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
  3. Qualifications:
    • Education: A degree in fields such as electrical engineering, electronics, statistics, or analytics. Or equivalent technology trade certifications and experience in electrical trades
    • Experience: Has relevant work experience in monitoring and evaluation, research, or data analysis. Control system experience preferred. Data Center experience is a plus. 
    • Technical Skills: Proficient in using data analysis and reporting tools like Sky Spark, DCIM, SCADA or Power Monitoring Expert
    • Ability to author a Method Of Procedure for tasks.
