We are seeking an Environmental Professional to join the Environment & Facility Services team in one of our North region offices. This position may report to the Manchester, NH; Kennebunk, ME; or White River Junction, VT office but your location is up to you Fuss & O’Neill encourages a hybrid workplace, which means that your desk could be at home and in the office. Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will support environmental site assessment and remediation projects with the assistance of other team members; manage field investigation programs; carry out soil and geotechnical assessments to support site remediation and redevelopment; support regulatory permitting efforts to assess and cleanup soil, groundwater, indoor air, and other media at potentially contaminated properties to support property transactions or redevelopment activities.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, environmental science or geology required
  • Requires at least 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations and permitting processes
  • Due diligence/ASTM Phase I experience preferred
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER
  • Field investigation and sampling experience, including but not limited to groundwater monitoring/sample collection, water level gauging, soil sampling, soil gas / indoor air, data management.
  • Experience with hazardous building material sampling - asbestos, lead, and PCBs a plus but not required
  • Experience or desire to design remediation systems
  • Excellent writing and communication skills required; experience with report writing required
  • Familiarity using AutoCAD and GIS software desirable
