JOB SUMMARY

In this role, you'll empower our YES Waiver participants to achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life through providing family oriented, individual mental health direct services, implementing curriculum-based skills training, parenting skills training, crisis intervention, documentation, and fostering a supportive environment. CLS provides interventions in the community, home, school, and office to clients assigned to their caseload.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs skills training services with clients or relatives of clients in the community.
  • Participates as a team member in conferences designed for the diagnosis and treatment of clients.
  • Increases knowledge of work concepts by attendance at work related outside conferences and seminars whenever possible.
  • Performs related work as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Excellent written communication and computer keyboarding for inputting clinical documentation
  • Excellent verbal communication with clients, staff, and community providers
  • Time management and organization required to meet service goals
  • Travel to client homes, school, and other community settings
  • Ability to be CPR and CPI certified
  • Valid driver's license, liability insurance, and reliable transportation required. 70% travel.
  • Must be flexible

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in social work, psychology or related field
  • 1 year of skills training experience preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to frequently (up to 90% of the time) sit, stand, walk, and climb stairs (if an elevator is unavailable).
  • Stooping, bending, sitting, standing, keyboarding for prolonged periods, and lifting up to 30 lbs.

OTHER DUTIES:

  • Other duties as assigned.
