The Customer Service Desk is the first point of contact for incoming patrons. The is one of the most important roles in the stores. As a Customer Service Associate, you are ensuring customer satisfaction by responding to inquiries and concerns.

Summary of the position:

  • Greet customers upon entering the store
  • Answer incoming phone calls, answering questions, or rerouting calls to appropriate departments
  • Respond to customer questions, comments, complaints (involving management when necessary)
  • Processes applications for company Perx Card
  • Sells and cashes in New York State Lottery transactions
  • Adheres to all state and county regulations regarding the sale of age-restricted products
  • Properly process cash transactions, all forms of payments and discounts, EBT, WIC, coupons, and store discounts

What we look for in you:

  • Part time morning availability (with at lease at least one weekend day)
  • At least 1 year of friendly and welcoming customer service, and cash office experience
  • Grocery and/or retail experience preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Highly motivated individual
  • Team player with the ability to work independently at times
  • Ability to multitask
  • Focused and efficient
  • The ability to stand, walk, lift and bend for extended periods of time
