Your Role:
As our Safety/Environmental ISO Compliance Engineer, youll be at the forefront of developing, implementing, and maintaining robust safety programs and ISO compliance standards. Youll collaborate with various teams to ensure a proactive approach to safety, driving continuous improvement and adherence to industry regulations.
What You'll Do:
- Champion Safety: Lead the creation and execution of comprehensive safety programs aligned with local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct regular audits, inspections, and incident investigations to maintain a secure workplace.
- Train & Empower: Deliver engaging and customized safety training to employees, ensuring they are well-equipped to uphold safety protocols and standards.
- ISO Compliance Expertise: Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of ISO standards (including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001). Conduct internal audits, prepare documentation, and liaise with external auditors to secure and maintain certifications.
- Continuous Improvement: Be a key player in safety committee meetings, contributing innovative ideas for enhancing safety and compliance initiatives.
- Emergency Preparedness: Assist in developing and executing emergency response plans, ensuring the team is always ready for any situation.
What We're Looking For:
- Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience & Expertise: Proven experience in safety administration, ISO compliance, and exposure to environmental and quality standards.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of local, state, and federal safety regulations and ISO standards. Certifications like CSP, ASP, or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor are a plus.
- Skills & Abilities: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and motivate employees.
- Technical Proficiency: Competence in safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
