Coordinated Care Services Inc (CCSI) seeks a talented Children's SPOA Manager to contribute their expertise in providing essential business services to our provider organizations and customers. The Children’s Single Point of Access (SPOA) Manager manages the Children’s SPOA for Monroe County and provides oversight of SPOA staff and all processes, including referral, wait list, enrollment, data base and recertification, ensuring timely access to and provision of high quality SPOA services. Ensures priority access to services for high need, cross system children and youth, and brokers solutions for those children and families facing barriers to services access.
CCSI is partnering with Monroe County Office of Mental Health to hire a Children's SPOA Manager. This position is employed by CCSI and working on behalf of Monroe County.
In this role, you will
- Be primary contact for case level crises and triage.
- Problem solve case specific and system-wide issues in collaboration with system partners.
- Develop, monitor, maintain, and prioritize waiting lists tracked in Salesforce for SPOA programs, including Care Coordination, Youth Act, Youth Peer Mentoring and Skill Building.
- Complete HCBS eligibility screening for youth coming out of long-term hospitalization or residential treatment. Provides consultation when requested and appropriate on individualized plans for SPOA programs.
- Assure Residential Treatment Facility (RTF) packets of information for Pre- Admission Certification Committee (PACC) are complete and thorough; maintains communication with PACC.
- Assure Community Residence packets of information are complete and thorough; maintains communication with CR intake teams.
- Oversee Priority Youth/Children’s Psychiatric Center Diversion referrals.
- Oversee flexible funds requests and assume responsibility for monitoring use, examining trends and patterns of use to recommend changes to protocol as needed.
- Build effective linkages and relationships with informal and community supports, child and family serving systems, schools and other formal supports.
- Represent Monroe County Single Point of Access (SPOA) at various community meetings.
- Provide supervision to Senior SPOA Facilitator, SPOA Facilitators, SPOA Coordinator, and Youth Engagement Specialist.
- Promote youth and family voice in decisions regarding care whenever appropriate.
- Serve as resource for family and child grievances of behavioral health services.
- Collaborate with OMH Field Office on site visits, reviews and ongoing monitoring.
- Ensure quality of service delivery of OMH contracted programs within the county, which could include monitoring of progress notes, enrollments and discharges.
- Monitor services/resources for Non-Medicaid populations to ensure availability and access.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with Health Homes and Managed Care organizations.
- Conduct local outreach and education activities to inform providers of available county resources.
- Support interdepartmental initiatives and planning functions within the Monroe County Office of Mental Health.
- Participate on the phone coverage team for the Trauma, Illness, and Grief (TIG) Consortium on call phone
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in mental health field, Masters preferred, plus 3-5 years’ behavioral health experience with emphasis on children & family issues, or equivalent education and work experience (see CCSI's equivalency chart).

- Satisfactory completion of required background screenings: criminal, drug, driving, and Statewide Central Register.
