The Bulk Terminal Supervisor will supervise a team of employees during the night shift through engagement and support to build and sustain a culture that continually shares CIG Logistics values. Provide support and align functions of the site’s daily activities to fulfill the responsibilities within budgets, maintenance, capital, and operational activities.

Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Continuously demonstrate a personal commitment to CIG Logistics’ Environmental, Health, and Safety Policies and Standards.
  • Develop and enhance risk maturity through, not only physical requirements but also the dimensions of personal decision making and group impact.
  • Using humanistic leadership and people-focused interactions to create engagement and action.
  • Involvement in all site activities as required and delegate to assist others to be able to perform their best.
  • Comply with legislative requirements for workplace health, safety, and environment.
  • As the terminal operates 365 days a year, perform the “on-call” function as required and provide support when necessary. Assist with the supervision and coordination of logistics regarding bulk storage, weighing and sampling and shipping Assist the annual budgeting process, including major maintenance and capital works. Liaising with other areas of the company to ensure good communication and outcomes.
  • Comply with legislative requirements and CIG Logistics’ policies in all aspects of supervision of employees whilst encouraging a workplace culture of individual respect which is free from harassment and discrimination.
  • Establish productive and cooperative working relationships within CIG Logistics and all CIG Logistics and community stakeholders to achieve organizational goals and promote the organization in a positive manner.
  • Ensure that direct reports have access to support for personal issues that have an impact on their ability to perform safe and effective work.
  • Undertake other functions consistent with skills and competencies as required.
    1. EDUCATION AND TRAINING
      • Trade qualifications in either mechanical or electrical discipline is desirable.

  1. EXPERIENCE
    • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the supervision of employees.
  2. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
    • Certificate qualifications in supervisory skills.
    • Bulk material handling experiences are advantageous.
    • Experience in maintenance and maintenance planning.
    • Leadership and Interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships, drive engagement, motivate staff, and influence culture.
    • Trade qualifications in either mechanical or electrical discipline is desirable.
    • Ability to engage, promote and provide a consultative approach with people.
