General Purpose:

The Customer Service Specialist works directly with the Account Managers to support the needs of our customers on a daily basis.

Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Works as a team with assigned Account Manager to support the day to day order management for assigned customers. This includes but is not limited to tender acceptance, order entry, appointment scheduling (re-scheduling), load tracking, communication with customers, EDI status update processing, detention monitoring, accessorial processing and payment issue resolution.
  • Interact with Planners and Fleet Managers to ensure timely pickups and deliveries and communicate any potential issues to customers
  • Interact with other departments as needed to support customer activities

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Weekly Revenue by Customer
  • On Time Delivery Performance
  • Order Lead Time
  • Deadhead Percentage
