Annie Malone presents an exciting opportunity for an on-site Senior Accountant

Job Summary:

As the Senior Accountant at Annie Malone Children & Family Services, reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for preparing monthly journal entries, schedules, analysis, reporting, and account reconciliations. You will also manage fixed asset and lease accounting and reporting. Additionally, you will play an active role in developing new policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements.
  • Prepare month-end journal entries, including accruals and closing entries, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Perform fixed asset accounting, reporting, and reconciliation.
  • Prepare balance sheet schedules and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist with month-end account analysis.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations.
  • Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets.
  • Develop and maintain a variety of financial reports.
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy of all accounting entries.
  • Assist in the development of policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
  • Improve productivity by automating accounting processes.
  • Serve as a backup for other accounting positions.
  • Assist in the preparation of information for audits.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the CFO.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP concepts, internal controls, and standard financial procedures.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and natural attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow through and complete tasks with a high level of speed and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft 365.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Salary Range:

The annual salary for this position ranges from $65,000 to $75,000.
