UT Urgent Care-Northshore is seeking experienced, well qualified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse who must be a team player and comfortable working in a fast pace urgent care environment.


A successful candidate will be expected to perform the following duties but not limited to:

Job Description:

  • Greet patients and assist with patient requests upon arrival to clinic
  • Obtain and record demographic, insurance and financial information
  • Accurately records patient history, complete patient vitals, retrieves basic condition of patient and reports to appropriate practitioner.
  • Assists provider with examination, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care, such as: apply splints and wound dressings, collect and record various laboratory tests, administer oral and injectable medication.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Rotating Schedule: Week One – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 9a-9p; Week Two – Monday, Tuesday 9a-9p, Saturday 9a-6p ($2/hr shift differential for weekend hours)

SALARY DESCRIPTION:

  • $19.00/hr - $22.00/hr
  • Dependent on experience and certifications
Requirements:
  • Ability to work rotating schedule including weekends (no overnights)
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment
  • Outstanding customer service skills

Education/Experience:

  • Requirement of GED or High School Diploma
  • 1+ year experience in healthcare facility (medical office, urgent care, ED) is preferred
  • Completion of Medical Assistant program, registered/certified (RMA/CMA) or 2+ years’ experience working in medical office
