Description
Job Summary:
Responsible for maintaining company's general ledger, recording daily transactions, deposits, and income.
Familiar with GAAP and comfortable working in QuickBooks.
Detail oriented, have strong math skills, and be efficient.
Accounting Clerks Job Responsibilities:
- Competent in General Ledger reporting system.
- Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.
- Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
- Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
- Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.
- Balances general ledger and reconciles entries.
- Maintains historical records by filing documents.
- Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Assist in other duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements
- Microsoft Office Skills, Excel, Quick Books, GL,
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of GAAP
- Relevant experience working in accounting and bookkeeping.
- Occasionally standing, walking, bending, and lifting 20-25 pounds during work shift.
