HOW YOU WILL SOAR:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Engineer III to lead our quality assurance efforts and drive excellence in product quality. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing quality strategies, leading testing initiatives, and ensuring adherence to quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and drive initiatives to enhance overall quality and customer satisfaction.

You will join a team of experience Quality Engineers responsible for bug free software delivery by performing Smoke testing, Functional testing, Regression testing. You will be leading a team of 5-10 QA engineers and mentoring them. You should be able to test manually as well as be proficient in SQL, ETL and Automation testing. You should have exposure to different QA testing tools for managing and executing test cases, tracking bugs and reporting status.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance strategies and processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality BI Reports

  • Design, develop and execute test cases for Data Analysis, Data Validation, Data Conversion and Data Migration

  • Design, develop and execute test cases for testing static reports for Data Quality, Report Visuals – headers, footers, charts

  • Design & develop complex SQL Queries, Stored Procedures & Functions to validate Reports, Dashboards and Business Objects

  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools

  • Ensure version controlling of QA Automation code and implementation of best practices with code quality

  • Define and implement best practices, standards, and methodologies for quality assurance activities, including test planning, execution, and automation

  • Lead and mentor a team of quality assurance engineers, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise to drive excellence in testing and quality assurance

  • Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, performance, and smoke testing using Manual as well as automation testing techniques

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated test suites and frameworks to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency

  • Collaborate with product managers, software developers, and other stakeholders to define requirements, identify acceptance criteria, and prioritize testing efforts

  • Conduct risk assessments and identify potential areas of risk in software products, implementing mitigation strategies to minimize impact on product quality

  • Analyze test results, identify trends and patterns, and provide actionable insights to drive continuous improvement in product quality and testing effectiveness

  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities to address quality issues and prevent recurrence

  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements and resolve issues in a timely manner

  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning meetings to provide input on quality-related matters and ensure alignment with quality standards

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve quality processes, tools, and methodologies, driving a culture of continuous improvement and innovation

  • Ideation for development of in-house tools to automate tedious and manual day to day activities

  • Participate in different Agile ceremonies like Daily sync up, Story refinement, Sprint review, retrospective etc.

  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies

  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in software quality assurance

IF YOU HAVE SOME OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING, APPLY:

  • 4-7 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on leading quality initiatives, developing and implementing quality strategies, and mentoring junior team members

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or similar/related Engineering/Science based disciplines

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and drive resolution collaboratively

  • Strong technical skills in writing SQL queries, Stored Procedures and Functions

  • Strong ETL Testing knowledge – Data extraction from source databases, data transformation as per business requirements, data analysis and data loading

  • Extensive experience in developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts for complex software systems

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels

  • Collaborate outside of the product team to encourage a development community

  • Proven ability in Data validation and quality testing

  • Experience of engaging with developers to outline how a solution design results in dependency impact

  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases

  • Familiarity with ADO and the software development life cycle (SDLC)

  • Experience working in Cloud environment (such as Azure and AWS) and cloud technologies

  • Proven experience preparing, presenting, and maintaining required SDLC documentation and artifacts

  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Kanban

  • Nice to Have

  • Unix & Python scripting knowledge for data verification, backend data testing and automation of report testing

  • Knowledge of Snowflake, Tableau, SSRS, Snowflake, Talend, Azure DevOps

  • Strong proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar

  • Experience with complex technical integrations (APIs, web services) and SaaS / PaaS cloud platforms

  • Hands on UI and API automation experience (JMeter, Blaze Meter, Postman, Python 3.x, Pytest, Selenium, BrowserStack, MABL, or other QA testing tools)

  • Experience with XML, JavaScript, .NET framework, T-SQL, JQuery, JSON

  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) and familiarity with performance testing methodologies

  • QA testing related certifications (or willingness to obtain) such as ISTQB Advanced Level, Certified Test Engineer (CSTE) Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA) Certified Associate in Software Testing (CAST)

  • Adaptability - Ability to adapt to changing priorities, project requirements, and technologies, while maintaining a high level of quality and productivity

  • Attention to Detail - Demonstrate a meticulous approach to testing and problem-solving, with a keen eye for identifying even the smallest defects and inconsistencies in software products

  • Documentation - Proficient in creating clear and concise documentation, including test plans, test cases, and defect reports, to ensure comprehensive test coverage and facilitate knowledge transfer within the team

  • Collaboration - Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and stakeholders, to achieve common goals

  • Continuous Improvement - Commitment to continuous learning and improvement, staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in software quality assurance

  • Provide technical expertise in Test Automation, Testing Methodologies, Testing Processes, Tools, and Techniques across the teams

  • Support and is accountable for timely releases and adherence to release activities
