Job DescriptionJob Description

Atikwa Golf Club at Arrowwood Resort is seeking a Golf Course/Grounds Mechanic to maintain the equipment necessary for the operation of the golf course and resort. The golf course mechanic will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient working environment and will contribute to a regular inspection and preventative maintenance program.

Atikwa Golf Club is an 18 hole golf course located at Arrowwood Resort. Arrowwood is a 200+ room hotel and resort facility located on Lake Darling in Alexandria, MN.

Duties

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair all golf course and grounds equipment
  • Perform regular mower blade and reel sharpening/repair as necessary to maintain quality equipment performance
  • Prioritize maintenance and equipment repairs and schedule accordingly as it pertains to current golf course operations
  • Place orders for parts and supplies as needed for service
  • Communicate repair costs and status updates to superintendent pertaining to necessary repairs and maintenance
  • Assist other crew members with daily inspection of equipment
  • Maintain a clean and efficient service area
  • Assist when needed with other grounds crew operations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Proficient with common mechanical tools and service equipment
  • Knowledge and understanding of the general operation and proper service of various gasoline, diesel, electric, and hydraulic equipment
  • Experience in maintenance of golf course equipment preferred, including the regular service and operation of reel mowers
  • Able to work M-F with occasional weekend and Holiday shifts
  • Reliable and punctual attendance
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. and be able to sit stand and bend as needed to maintain and work on equipment
  • Valid driver’s license
