Summary: This job will ensure that all company safety policies are followed and monitor our production employees and operations to ensure that they deliver maximum quality in a profitable manner. Your duties will include monitoring employees٫ organizing workflows and analyzing the efficiency of manufacturing processes. You should be highly competent and comprehend complex operations. We also expect you to be able to optimize day-to-day activities while minimizing the costs.
Essential Functions:- Know and follow all Company and customer safety rules, including maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work area, fully participating in Company accident prevention and safety improvement activities.
- Support Safety & Quality Initiatives by participating in Safety and Quality Audits where needed.
- Supervises staff to produce manufactured products and organizes and monitors workflow.
- Accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; and initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Maintains workflow by monitoring and upgrading processes, setting processing variables, observing control points and equipment, monitoring personnel and resources, studying methods, implementing cost reductions, developing reporting procedures and systems, facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points, and initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing production standards.
- Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
- Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data, and answering questions and responding to requests.
- Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements, and implementing change.
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing production standards.
- Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
- Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data, and answering questions and responding to requests.
- Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements, and implementing change.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior supervisory experience.
- High school diploma or its equivalent required, BS in engineering a plus.
- LSS Yellow or Green belt certification preferred.
- Knowledge of MS Office.
- Highly preferred skill: Bilingual English/Spanish.
- Be able to lift to 50 lbs. Anything over 50 lbs. requires a team lift effort.
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment. The work location may be 60°ree;F to above 100°ree;F ambient in areas of production.
