Job Overview:

As a Warehouse Associate, focusing on picking, you will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations. Your primary responsibilities will include accurately selecting and preparing products for shipment and ensuring that orders are filled correctly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Order Picking: Accurately pick products from shelves based on order tickets or electronic systems, ensuring the correct items and quantities are selected.
  • Product Handling: Safely handle and move products using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or forklifts as needed. Ensure proper storage and organization of items within the warehouse.
  • Quality Control: Inspect products for defects or damage before packing. Report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor.
  • Packing and Labeling: Pack products securely and label packages accurately for shipment. Prepare items for transportation in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment. Report any inventory discrepancies or shortages.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and warehouse procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members and supervisors to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. Assist with training new employees as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or picking role is required. On-the-job training will be provided.
  • Skills: Ability to read and interpret order tickets and labels. Basic math skills for counting and measuring.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 75 lbs) and stand for extended periods. Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and quality in picking and packing orders.
  • Communication: Good verbal communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
