Retail Inventory Manager
Pincanna is a vertically integrated cannabis company with headquarters in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Pincanna has a 135,000 square foot cultivation and production facility in Pinconning, Michigan, retail locations in Kalkaska, East Lansing, Kalamazoo, Pinconning, and planned retail locations throughout Michigan.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong leadership skills, who can manage all inventory processes and procedures, and support with managing a team. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment within the cannabis industry. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Remains responsible for all new product intakes through METRC and processing into databases, with full accuracy as dictated by company compliance and accounting departments.
- Ensure all products have appropriate labels prior to be sold.
- Maintains full compliance with state regulations, handling, storage, selling, and tracking of products.
- Implements and maintains effective inventory organization and best practices.
- Monitors inventory levels through the stores' METRC account and conducts daily audits to prevent loss and ensure strict compliance.
- Manages the store's product waste log, reporting waste to both Compliance, Purchasing, and Store Management Team.
- Manages the tracking and storage of returns and facilitating returns with vendors.
- Ensures received invoices accurately match the product received, if incorrect, appropriately documents inaccuracies per company policy.
- Confirms accurate counts, quality, and quantities of product upon receiving it from a vendor.
- Facilitates weekly inventory audits, investigating deficiencies in inventory and reconciliation.
- Maintains an Expiration Log of aging or expiring inventory, facilitates a monthly Aging Inventory Report and review process and communicates sell-through/promotional status of products to Store Manager and Purchasing Team.
- Maintains a customer ready sales floor, within the posted hours of operation.
- Communicate with management to ensure there is a consistent supply of inventory.
- Lead team huddles and set sales direction as the manager on duty.
- Ensure all opening and closing duties are completed and the store is completely secured before departing at night or opening in the morning.
- Note: The primary position responsibilities outlined above are not intended to be all-inclusive and additional responsibilities may be required.
Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and maintainhighly regulated inventory systems.
- Keen understanding of inventory management practices.
- Maintains a flexible and open schedule availability, night,and weekends.
- Attention to detail, ability to maintainfocus, and strong organizational skills.
- Strong and efficient time management skills.
- Experience working directly with inventory counts and store audits.
- Ability to identify employee's strengths and weaknesses to train, coach, and help develop them.
- MetrcBasic and Advanced Retail Certification.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, and kneel daily in retail and production environments that include concrete or other hard-surface floors and, in some instances, staircases.
- Ability to push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds multiple times daily.
