PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee, supervise, train, and assign work to all BCM marketing personnel
  • Selects, monitor, and approve the work of outside agencies, subcontractors and individuals with specific marketing assignments.
  • Develop and present for approval a comprehensive marketing plan and marketing budget encompassing all elements of BCM.
  • Maintain a real time priority list including all current marketing assignments with a schedule for each as appropriate.
  • Conceptualize, layout, and develop high quality brochures, pamphlets, rack cards, posters, flyers and other printed promotional material as needed.
  • Manage PR - Maintains a close relationship with all local and regional media, creates and distributes press releases to media as well as other appropriate outlets
  • Manage advertising including proposing and managing the ad budget, ad vehicle selection, price negotiation, ad development, results assessment
  • Manage all photography and videography as needed for all forms of promotion
  • Secure or develop lists of names (organizations or individuals) for direct mail campaigns (both USPS mail and email); coordinate all direct mail campaigns
  • Keep website professional, appealing, and current in appearance, information, and technology
  • Assist in the development of sponsorship solicitation material, museum membership and contributor recognition materials and media kits.
  • Develop standard and custom PowerPoint presentations that can be delivered to civic groups and other groups.
  • Assist the BCM Managing Director and/or the Museum Director with visual aids needed for any presentation.
  • Ensure that BCM’s presence is strong in social media and that information is accurate, interesting, and current.
