Accertify is growing, and we are seeking an experienced Deal Attorney to join the Legal team.

How will you make an impact in this role?
The Deal Attorney at Accertify will review, negotiate, and draft contracts to offer cutting-edge SaaS solutions to brand-name merchants worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiation and drafting of reseller agreements, referral agreements, partner agreements, and vendor agreements;
  • Strategizing with the sales team on deal approach and negotiations;
  • Responding to multiple daily contract questions from internal clients, including sales, account management, pricing, finance, and senior leadership;
  • Understanding and education of internal and external clients and proprietary services offerings;
  • Reviewing operational and technical documentation, advertising, and marketing materials for legal adequacy;
  • Taking on special projects related to the operation of the legal team, the business, and special topics under the law.
Qualifications:
  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice in Illinois, U.S., or qualified to become licensed in Illinois
  • 4+ years of relevant legal experience with the drafting, negotiation, and review of contracts
  • 2+ years of experience drafting and negotiating SaaS and other technology contracts
  • Experience with US and global data privacy regulations (preferred).
  • Able to explain complex legal and business issues in business-friendly guidance.
  • Comfortable working in a small, collegial team of seasoned attorneys and legal managers.
  • Strong credibility, judgment, and integrity.
  • Able to own work streams from inception through resolution.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under time constraints.
  • Spanish or French language fluency (preferred).

Workplace Flexibility: Hybrid (3 days in-office per week)
Travel: little to none
Visa Sponsorship: employment eligibility to work for Accertify in the U.S. is required, as Accertify will not pursue Visa sponsorship for this position.
