HR Generalist:

Contract

$34-36/hr

Houston, TX

100% in the office


Your duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Providing support to employees in various HR-related topics such as timekeeping, leaves and compensation and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Assisting in talent acquisition, recruitment and retention processes, including performing onboarding and offboarding activities and supporting administration of employee recognition programs.
  • Applying understanding, providing guidance and assuring compliance on the application of various labor/employment laws including Title VII, ADA, SCA, FMLA, PDA, FLSA, EPA, LMRA and other Federal, State and Local legislation/regulations.
  • Gathering and analyzing data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates and completing monthly HR reports and other customer facing reports with all data required.
  • Supporting our customer and employees’ on-site needs such as processes needed to gain access to facilities, systems and transportation.
  • Maintaining HRIS systems and ensuring up-to-date employee files and records.
  • Supporting employees in understanding how to use their HRIS and related systems to effectively manage timekeeping, payroll and other HR-related activities.
  • Assisting HR team, employees and supervisors in supporting timely execution of weekly time and bi-weekly payroll processing.
  • Performing other duties as required.

Required Education/Experience/Skills

  • Experience in HR functions supporting government/federal work requirements.
  • Experience in Aerospace and/or Engineering Industry.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience as an HR Generalist
  • Bachelors degree in relevant field
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to interface with all levels of management.
  • Excellent organizational skills - process driven
  • Creative approach to problem solving in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy while multi-tasking
  • Advanced Microsoft (MS) Excel skills, strong MS Office skills, experience with federal customer HR technologies and ability to quickly upskill on new technologies
  • Ability and willingness to work on tight turnaround schedule – leveraging HR SLAs to prioritize and response and resolution, keeping supervisors and employees informed of progress
