Job Purpose:

The incumbent is responsible for leading all business development efforts, campaign strategy development, and execution of Leonardo Helicopters USA, Inc. (LH USA) US Army programs and services. Including, but not limited to, all existing and future LH USA US Army programs and support functions.

The incumbent will lead and oversee US Army programs for LHD and LH USA and ensure interface and coordination with AWPC, LHD Cascina Costa, and external organizations and agencies.

Duties:

  • Develop annual customer engagement plan supported by budget and resource requests. Coordinate your annual strategy with the other portfolios and supporting functions such as communications, Legislative Affairs, Marketing, and consultants.
  • Develop a long-term (5-10 year) strategy for the portfolio, including any advanced development efforts and potential industrial partnerships.
  • Near-term focus on US Army Training Helicopter (UH-72 replacement) and developing a tilt-rotor training initiative for the Army as they transition to the V-280.
  • Assist in revenue generation for the LH Florida Support Facility through business development and execution of MRO activities.
  • Plan, implement, execute existing LH USA and LHD US Army customer programs and initiatives in coordination with the AWPC and LHD leadership teams.
  • Government contracting, including management of proposal efforts, with US Defense, and Federal Government Agencies
  • Military and commercial rotary-wing aircraft/tiltrotor aircraft, technologies, operational requirements, and logistical support

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 15-20 years in related field – Military Officer or mid-level Executive Security Clearance
  • Understanding of the LH USA business, specifically its LHD corporate and relationship to Leonardo
  • Technical presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to build long-term relationships with internal and external customers by understanding their current and future needs
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
