Summary/Objective

The Shipping Coordinator receives and locates incoming purchased material. Pulls orders to be staged for the assembly area. Performs cycle counts and makes adjustments to inventory. Pulls and transfers material as required.


Essential Functions

• Pulls raw material to be used in assembly.

• Locate and store material.

• Performs cycle counts and adjust inventory balances accordingly.

• Reports shortages to management.

• Fills out paperwork according to supervisor’s instructions.

• Works under the safety rules of TFI and keeps area clean and orderly.

• Uses forklifts to load and carry material.

Requirements:

Competencies (Knowledge)

• Ability to follow instructions from management.

• Communication proficiency both verbal and written.

• Able to lift parts up to 75lbs.

• Can identify parts needed per cut list.

• Thoroughness.

• Time Management.

• Reading, writing and math skills are essential.

• Must follow safety rules and regulations.


Supervisory Responsibility

There is no supervisory responsibilities in this position.


Work Environment

This position works in a manufacturing setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets

and fax machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as forklift, hand tools, electric tools, and trucks. This position works both inside the plant and outside as required.


Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop or kneel. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


Expected Hours of Work

This is a full time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with overtime required as dictated by the work load.

There are no travel requirements in this position.


Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma

• Forklift Certified

• Same as above.
