Infant, Toddler Teacher Purpose:
To cooperate in providing a warm and nurturing, quality early childhood environment in which each child can grow physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially.
Infant, Toddler Teacher Requirements:
- Preferred CDA, Associates or BA in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education with a ZS, or closely related field. Completed degree not required. Training provided along with scholarship opportunities.
- Experience working in a group care setting
- Immunization requirements: MMR, Tdap, Hep B, Varicella, Annual influenza and Covid-19 boosters
Infant, Toddler Teacher Responsibilities:
Teachers work on a team to support children and families through:
- Learning Environment
- Daily routine, small group, large group, transitions, clean up, snacks and meals, and outside time
- Curriculum Planning and Assessment
- Family Partnerships and Community Relationships
- A Bachelors or Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred.
- Personnel File is up to date
- CPR/First Aid
- Current TB Test
- Current Physical
- Adheres to attendance policies as outlined in the staff handbook.
- Ability to relate joyfully and sensitively to children, co-workers and families
- Sensitive to the individual needs of families
- Ability to communicate with families effectively
- Ability to supervise variety of staff
- Knowledge of rules, regulations and standards
- Knowledge of child development
- Ability to provide appropriate guidance
- Ability to seek supervision and use it constructively
- Evidence of emotional maturity and stability
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
- Evidence of sufficient judgment to handle crisis situations
