Metal Stamping Supervisor

We are seeking a Stamping Supervisor to coordinate the stamping department activities of team leaders and other employees under the direction of the Stamping Manager.

Essential Job Functions

• Oversee activities of production and operating employees under the direction of the Manager and assistant manager
• Gather and analyze information from work sites to identify root causes of business issues and Employ 8-Step problem solving to resolve problems to result in continual improvement
• Direct and assign work schedules, assignments, tasks, and duties and make changes when necessary to meet objectives
• Monitor results and processes to proactively maximize production and eliminate waste
• Train and develop team members and team leaders to promote growth, advancement, and meet company needs
• Complete necessary documentation, such as status changes, time-off requests, incident reports, and performance evaluations
• Interpret work orders, specifications, and company policies and procedures for employees
• Effectively collaborate and maintain productive working relationships with other managers, supervisors, team leaders, and team members
• Assist manager in developing and implementing standard work instructions and identify potential areas of improvement to management

Other Job Functions

• Comply with FIC’s Safety policies and procedures
• Comply with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 procedures and standards
• Perform 5-S activities

• 3+ years of experience in a leadership role within a stamping/press manufacturing operation
• Experience working in automotive industry is a plus
• Create a positive work environment and contribute to the morale of the team
• Demonstrate teamwork and leadership
• Use respect, tact, and courtesy in working with others
