Regional Credit Administrator

Road Machinery & Supplies Co. is searching for a Regional Credit Administrator to join its team. In this position you work with all departments within our corporate organization in establishing new accounts as well as with our existing customers to maintain correct credit limits and monitor their accounts to enable them to continue to do business with Road Machinery & Supplies Co. and its affiliated companies. This is a full time, in office position, reporting to the Director of Finance.

Responsibilities:

Profitable servicing of assigned customer accounts in the areas of:

• Collection of past due dollars.
  • Monitor AR reports.
  • Contact customers by phone, text, or email to ensure prompt payment.
  • Negotiate settlement and repayment plans with customers.
  • Communicate collection issues to other departments within RMS.
  • Filing of lien and bond claims with outside organizations as required.
  • Work with collection agencies and attorneys to assure optimum collection results.
• Approval and processing of new accounts.
  • Obtain credit reports and credit reference information.
  • Set credit limit and terms based on credit worthiness of the customer.
  • Enter new account information into the system.
  • Notify appropriate departments of the new account approval and terms.
• Credit sales control.
  • Monitor credit limits and make adjustments when necessary.
  • Approve all rental transactions.
  • Authorizes credit from all departments for all sales over the customers’ established credit limit.
  • Periodically update customer credit reports to note any status changes.
• Account maintenance.
  • Enter all new accounts in the system.
  • Enter any account changes such as addresses, phone, etc.
  • Processes miscellaneous adjustments to AR.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills:

• 2 to 5 years of experience in a Credit and Collection environment preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem solving skills. Must be able to analyze and process complex issues.
• Have experience in researching credit reports, financial statements, and trade references.
• Must have good math skills and basic understanding of accounting.
• Proficient in Word and Excel programs.
• Able to work responsibly, safely, and intelligently
• Have the desire to take action, improve, and be appreciative
• Possess the capability to engage with customers, co-workers, and vendors in a respectful manner.
