What You’ll Be Doing:
Creates all marketing and communications content and messaging needed to support internal and external marketing and communications needs for the company. Uses graphic design, video production, video editing, photography and writing talents for social, web, email, presentation, digital, print, tradeshow, signage, and other brand communication channels. Reports to the Marketing and Brand Manager and collaborates with other team members, external vendors and departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Others as assigned.
- With branding, graphic design, messaging, photography, video production and editing talents, creates professional marketing and communications content and materials from start to finish across various company departments, divisions and locations.
- Collaborates with internal departments and external vendors to execute content creation for sales, human resources and employer branding, social media, website, internal communications, company-wide events, presentations, campaigns and signage.
- Uses graphic design skillsets for social, web, email, presentation, digital, print, tradeshow, signage and other branding projects according to brand guidelines.
- Produces and edits photo and video content using DSLR camera, lights, audio and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Assists in organic and paid social media content and campaigns.
- Assists with topic planning for company communications plan.
- Assists with internal and external newsletters to various target groups.
- Assists with maintaining the product and branding of the company online apparel store and giveaways.
- Assists with sponsorship and advertising opportunities.
- Assists with company events.
Schedule: This position is overtime-exempt and will primarily work eight or more hours per day, five days per week based on business needs. Hours may be 8 – 5 or similar. May also work or travel nights or weekends for events, training, special projects, customer visits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Design, Media Production, Communications, Journalism or similar and/or equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
- Two or more years’ related experience in communications or marketing roles that include:
- Utilizing technical skills such as graphic design and media production; photography and photo editing, video production and editing, operation of DSLR camera, audio & lights
- Experience adhering to corporate brand and communications guidelines
- Experience cascading information and content across multiple channels and formats
- Collaborating with teams and providing creative suggestions or solutions
- Computer skills / PC / Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Website content management systems such as WordPress and email marketing tools
- Project planning and management
- Willing to live within a commutable distance of Shelbyville, KY and work onsite or hybrid schedule after training is completed.
- Two or more years’ related experience in communications or marketing roles that include:
