BEHAVIORAL INTERVENTIONIST PROGRAM MANAGER

Job Status: Full-time

Reports to: President of Behavioral Services

 

Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:  

Administrative Leadership & Management  

  • Oversee & manage staff in Cape Girardeau & Hannibal, MO
  • Provide oversight of service delivery to meet the specified outcomes for the BI Program in assigned branch office/s
  • Provide supervision & leadership to enhance the emotional intelligence & increase performance & leadership skills
  • Ensure all program activities operate consistently & ethically within the mission & values of FAC
  • Employee & team satisfaction
  • Monitor workload of the Family Coordinators & BI Coordinators
  • Provide supervisory evaluation of Family Coordinators & BI Coordinators, providing support, guidance, work product feedback; allowing staff to give feedback on program operations & case consultation
  • Complete probationary & annual employee evaluations
  • Ensure all training requirements are met
  • Work with the Regional Director of BI Program on client referrals & waitlists, matching new clients with staff; and staff hiring
  • Ensure that reporting & procedural requirements are used consistently & accurately
  • Assign new referrals
  • Assign new BIs to BI Coordinators
  • Completion accuracy & timeliness of initial assessments/referral process
  • Review & approve initial assessments, renewals, quarterlies, update & progress notes
  • Track monthly & ensure renewals & updates are done on time
  • Ensure Critical Incident Report & Review Forms are submitted on time
  • Provide support to staff during Out-of-Home Investigations
  • Assist Family Coordinators & BI Coordinators with home visits & follow-up meetings
  • Attend & participate in meetings, court, conferences & trainings
  • Maintain strong, open communication with direct supervisor
  • Contribute on an organizational level re: agency culture, cultural competency & performance improvement outcomes


Administrative/Performance, Quality & Improvement (PQI) 

  • Work with Regional Director of BI Program & QA Coordinator re: quality improvement process, focusing on systems/process improvement & personnel growth
  • Work with Regional Director of BI Program, branch offices & QA Coordinator on PQI/QA processes to ensure the effectiveness of the program
  • Review file & shift note audit results with the QA Coordinator
  • Review non-critical incident reports & client documentation
  • Ensure all procedures are followed during Critical Incidents, provide follow-up, documentation & communication to Executive Leadership
  • Work with all agency departments towards a coordinated approach in assisting clients & maintaining Council on Accreditation & State/private contracts standards
  • Work with the Regional Director of BI Program, Coordinators & Finance Department for accurate payroll processes
  • Track Behavioral Program hours provided according to funding guidelines
  • Provide required information for LINC & VOCA billing


Qualifications & Preferred Skills 

  • BA/BS (MA/MS preferred) in social work, psychology, public administration, or related human services field + at least 2 years in non-profit social service agencies + 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Understanding of child welfare practice & policy
  • Resourcefulness in setting priorities, creating efficiencies & guiding investment in people & systems
  • Strategic thinker
  • Commitment to principles of support & advocacy for foster & adoptive families
  • Advocate for positive outcomes, working with multi-disciplinary, diverse teams
